Semi-related. Books I'm reading right now.
Two books about Mars--a novel about human conflict and revolution on a terraformed Mars in the not-to-far-away future, and a treatise on what it will take in terms of science and politics for humans to even get to the red planet. Also, a densely-worded work by Anglican theologian named John Milbank on why he basically despises the social sciences while at the same time guarding the portions he thinks aid a theological program. Now, I've just entered into the mountainous terrain of Milbank's mind, so there's much more to be said about what will be read. All of these books make me feel like I'm walking with giants.
